Having a desk or sedentary job, carrying your children a lot, and built up stress, can all cause your posture to deform. The most common side effect is for your chest to draw in on itself, shoulders and upper back to slouch.

This can lead to chest pain, and restrict your range of motion. All of this combined leads to muscle imbalance, a rib cage that isn't fully functioning, and before you know it, you have a recipe for oxygen depletion.

Of course, as the body is fully connected, eventually, you may end up with pain travelling all the way down your spine into your lower back.

As we know, yoga isn't just physical, so apart from the mentioned above, the body stores unprocessed emotions as well. Working on opening your heart/chest, can help release sadness, grief, anger, bitterness and frustration. We are not only opening our physical hearts, but our heart chakra/energy center as well.

The more we expand and open our upper body, the more blood, oxygen and nerve circulation will be allowed to impact you mentally, emotionally and physically.

So if you are wondering where to start, I made a short and gentle video, dedicated to opening your heart and chest ❤

Thank you for your support from the bottom of my heart.
